Abbott India Names Kartik Rajendran As MD For Five Years

Abbott India on Wednesday said Swati Dalal has resigned as managing director, effective June 13, to pursue an external career opportunity.

The board has appointed Kartik Rajendran as the new managing director for a five-year term starting June 14, the company said in an exchange filing. He will also take charge as divisional vice-president from June 1 and join the company's senior management team.

Kartik Rajendran brings over 20 years of experience in management and leadership. He has spent more than eight years at Abbott India, holding key roles including general manager of its specialty care business under Abbott Healthcare Pvt. Ltd. He currently serves as regional head for the Southeast Asia cluster in Abbott India’s pharmaceuticals division.
